also, will i have to download the "full" patch (the last one, i've lost track of the numbers at this stage), or will the incremental (which i used) be enough?

Ive played RO from early beta testing days ,this is far from DOD with tanks.

Just to edit on the EF issue,i just took out the space between two parts of my name and it worked,very weird .

This is coming from the EA downloader , it doesn't get any more official than that .

CRC errors on smokescreen client zip so cant play that map for a while.

just bought it there €10 isn't bad but i hope the next one is the last its getting stupid all the expansion packs there should be just patches with new maps etc not having to pay €10 a pop

Hmmm when i go to join EF server it says i aint got it installed,i then remembered that i had to assign an actual BF2 account to play it.
I went to sort this out only to find i have 3 available "nick changes used up" ,lol i give up.
Anyone know what im doing wrong here?
I think i never woke up today tbh.

It assigned it to whatever nick you stuck in, it should work if you use the nick you changed that to ingame. Afaik gamespy only recalls the 1st nick.

Just played the Euro Force patch for a couple of hours tonight and noticed a bug - randomly when i loaded up into the game, it wouldn't allow me to change weapon (like the old 'reduced to a Private' bug). This time i had all the new weapons unlocked but it still showed me as a Private. Unfortunatly this resulted in me getting kicked (twice) and banned (once) from a few different servers for cheating.

My Mate <King_of_the_Bling> was online too and he had exactly the same problem.

Anyone else get this or are we just 'special'?

Yea takes a bit of time getting used to them. But I suppose I'm jsut used to the original voices. Accents are a bit phoney, but not the worst I've heard.

Like some of the new weapons. Haven't had a chance to play on server yet, looking fwd to it.

Downloaded last nite in the wee hours so havn't had a chance to install(though how well its going to go... all this patching malarky is pi*sin me off)... REad quickly what was said here but does it mean that me and the bro cant play this stupid game as much as we like? So if he changes it I have to change it back and we can only do that 3 times??

another question: If i have to reinstall my os and everything from scratch can i download it again cause i already paid for it or what?

You can download it again or just burn the setup files to disk.
Your Gamespy account is your BF2 account so it shouldn't matter about the case.

I don't seem to be able to buy it at all, it is quite infuriating. Everytime I click on the confirm order button it takes me to the screen attached.

I've tried it a few times both in firefox and IE, cleared cache, cookies etc and it keeps bringing me to that screen.

Anyone else had this problem?Attachment not found.

Had a quick few games last night & agree that the accents are rubbish:rolleyes:, nice add-ons overall but worth a tenner!? Not sure on that yet. Operation smokescreen is a pretty good map (lotsa armour), but its spoiled by the huge advantage the jets have :mad:

Agree with ye there Mythago, the prospect of epic tank battles is wrecked by the aircraft. Was engaged in a 4 on 4 tank battle in one game last night when in swoops a enemy bomber and wastes two of our tanks straight away, followed by another taken by out by a eurocopter. All maps should have the option to turn of aircraft imo.

Had a coulple of great games of the Great Wall. The bottle necks into the citadel make for some epic armmoured battles on the ground and infantry battles on the ramparts.

Another plus, (for me anyway) since installing patch 1.21 load and verify times have been cut by at least 2/3!!!

i think there should be a new unlock for the AT class that would allow you carry shoulder launched SAM's instead of the AT kit
The usa could have the stinger, the MEC and china the sa-14 and the eu could have the mistral.
would stop the "unrealistic" use of helicopters swooping into the middle of a battle and force more tactical and balanced play, imho.
