I've been here for long enough without posting any pix, so here goes. All from local area in Dublin over the past year or so.
Be kind, or if you can't be kind, be constructive ;)

I'll be kind then :). I like the first two pics the most, they almost seem to come from a video game rather than from a camera, but I kinda like that style. I like the last picture the least, not because it's a bad pic, but it's the least appealing to me of the four presented. Keep 'em coming :D

Lovely pics, myself I would prefer to see the customs house in colour as I think its one of Dublin's nicest buildings at nighttime and the water reflections are great.

    Well done :)

Lovely pics! The Point is an interesting one, could have maybe benifited from slightly better light to see the buildings detail? Myself I would prefer to see the customs house in colour as I think its one of Dublin's nicest buildings at nighttime and the water reflections are great. I like your shots though.

    Well done :)

Like the 2nd and 3rd if it wasn't for the big long streaky (bus?) line at the top, maybe just a few red lines/whites streaking across the bottom.

Last one looks a bit to overexposed as the lights on the building take over.. Nice photo though.

    Good compo though

PS: Did you eventually get a replacement lens to the 28-300 sigma? :)

    First:
A bit "too" wide not not high enough for me. Good center though.

    Second:
What is the subject supposed to be? My eye keeps getting attracted to the sky rather than the building.

    Third:
Night shots like this, just don't anything for me. If you're going to have a long exposed, for God sake, make sure the constant background is interesting, then let the exposure add some flare...the point just doesn't do anything for me, sorry. The whitebalance is horrible in this too.

    Forth:
Best of them all. Personally, I would have used a longer shutter speed to blur the water and give the water a soft blur, while keeping the rest of the image in sharp focus.

See, I can be helpfull ;)

Also, straighten up the horizon on number 4, and convert it to black and white.

the custom house pic was my first night exposure and I was actually concentrating on keeping the exposure as short as possible (I don't know why...).

The subject of the second is mainly the sky - I was messing around with a red filter and wanted to get the sky as dramatic as I could

I like the first 3 the sky in the third is excellent, Custom house looks a bit over exposed. I like The Point picture. imo

    1. Too wide, not enough water. Looks like you made it B&W for the sake of it.

    2. No decent subject, and again it's got the pointless B&W syndrome.

    3. I'll just be harsh for this one, CRAP! I mean the tone of the photo is that horrible orange glow that you get of the street lights. Try and get much further back for the source of light. Maybe if you made it B&W....?

    4. Best of the bunch, still nothing great.

My advice: Keep taking photos and keep learning!
