    "BioWare Announces MMORPG Project"

No further details have been announced (ie no idea what it's about or where it's set).

Rumours that their MMO could be a (better) Star Wars one:

Sure, with a license from Lucas Arts. Why would Lucas allow someone to create a product, under his license, that will directly compete with his already failing MMO. Especially since they've already pumped so much money into it.
Still, Bioware are a class RPG-game company, any mmorpg they release will be on my "One to look out for" list.

apparently lucas arts and bioware developed issues while working on kotor...which led to that statement by the companies owner in an interview.

well LA and SoE just announced that they are reaffirming their partnership to work on SWG so not much hope there.

It's a shame though, one of the greatest intellectual properties around and it's completely ruined by Sh*t on Earth (SoE). Meanwhile turbines are happily destroying lord of the rings.

It wouldn't surprise me if the game is set in the Jade Empire universe, it's Bioware's intellectual property after all and the setting would go down well in the biggest MMORPG market in the world, the East.
