Do you know if I need a visa for India, and is there one available online?

    Thanks.

AFAIK you do as I recall an episode of airport where someone was returned from there to Heathrow for not having one.
Also Indians do need a Visa to enter Ireland which usually means its the same the other way round.

    You should Ring the Embasy
    The Indian Embassy in Ireland.
    6 Leeson Park
    Dublin 6

just one thing to point out - your passport must be valid for at least six months AFTER the visa expires.
