I think if you ordered them with a credit card or over the internet that you can ring them up and cancel! Other than that I don't have clue..

Not unless the gig is cancelled/rescheduled.

Yes, they refuse otherwise. I did bring ones back to soundcellar once, they refused to give a refund but said they would hang on to them and if people came in they would sell them to them. Came back 2 hours later and they had sold them, which was great service IMO. but I think it was a gig that sold out quickly.

Somebody should really start up an official reasonable touting service, IMO it should be ticketmaster. Buy back tickets at €5 undervalue and sell for €5 over, and have people verify they are not fakes.

Theres a lot of issues with such a system. Namely something that hasnt sold out the service is gonna get swamped. And stuff that has sold out the service would probably get few tickets in as most people will try make more profit. The closest workable system is the for sale boards here... though if its not sold out you are going to probably make a loss.

Problem with the boards sales is so few people use it, and people pull out at the last minute, I have been let down a few times though managed to sell outside albeit at a big loss. There could be different scales. If not sold out it buys for €10-15 under face and sells at €5 under face. Nobody is forcing you to sell to them. People can then pick up reasonably priced tickets for events they are not too bothered to see at the real price, but would pay €10 less.

Just does away with last minute dealing with scumbag touts, with fake tickets and paying you in fake notes.

I had tickets once and we ended up getting free ones too so I had these 2 spare to sell. I was asking under price and was outside the ticketmaster van, the guys in the van were going mental and called over a garda who refused to move me on and said they were being unreasonable. No doubt he hated the bastards like everybody else.
