Charging Cown X5 with Motorola charger?

    As it says on the tin, does anyone have an inkling if it's possible to charge an X5 using the USB-terminated charger that comes with a Motorola E700V?

    it's a 5V line, thinking about hooking it into the subpack but before I do, has anyone heard of or tried anything like this?

    It should work fine, yes but it won't be as fast as a regular A/C adapter. Have you lost yours?

    Mighty, I'll try it tomorrow with a fire blanket nearby. Would have checked ouput voltage through subpack but no multimeter.

    American player off eBay, don't wanna splurge and sick of USB charging. Cheers Bard :)

    Did you not get a charger (with an American plug) with the player then?

    Plug converters cost around €7...

    I did but it can't accept 240V. 110V or bust (literally)!

    S'funny... I read somewhere (on the FAQ on Cowon's site, if I recall correctly) that it most certainly does take European voltages of up to 240v...
