    I have to agree with you there, it drives me nuts as well.

    All i know is that the N key cycles trhough your map sizes for you, when your in full map mode it change its size when your in normal playing mode it changes the mini map :D

    I think everyone knows that.
    A few patches back they introduced this auto map zoom bull when you enter vehicles etc.
    It simply doesnt work well imo,i like map zoomed out as far as possible and its a pain having to toggle it manually instead of it just stuck in one view or another.

    It's easy. If you never make the mini-map big then it doesn't change.

    If you're in a tank and have a small minimap and get out and set it to small again then it shouldn't change again. The game remembers what size you want it at for every vechile.

    Yeah, sometimes it's annoying but it was one of the things requested by the 'community' for the 1.03 patch as people were complaining that tanks and jeeps and such didn't remember their mini-map settings :)
