Why dont you google Karl Popper and see what you find? This board is supposed to be for discussion of philosophy and philosophers, not explanation of basic ideas becuase you have an exam or essay.

I never said i had an essay, jeezis I only wanted to hear someones view on the bloke .
    Holy moses ,I'm a gas fitter .

The guys name is mentioned in an album I've had for a long time.
The album is U.F.Orb by the Orb.

Thats all ,nothing more ,I'm not looking for any free tickets ,nor my bread buttered on both sides ,I just thought it would be interesting to hear what anyone had to say about him.

Thanks for the openess and thoughts about it ,very expressive .

Some guy is talking about qoutes
" Karl popper referred to it as world 3 ,the objective contents of thoughts."
then the guy says someother name but i never really know what that is.

I looked up popper and all i could find was a long story about induction and how popper argues about it.
I can't really grasp it ,all i deducted from it is a complicated way of one person proving something exists because it could be or another proving it's not there because it hasn't been proved.

Sounds slightly pointless to me ,but because of the depth of writing on it and explanation and examples it's obviously not.
Although there are pranksters the world over who live in a world that feeds people who ask questions. And after all ,a baby learns from day one and keeps learning and only lifes experiences stop this process from happening all the way through life ,so maybe as time goes by an eighty year old might have the hunger to justify all things etc etc.

Popper gave the world a demarcation between Science and Pseudoscience. Put quite simply, an endeavour that allows testing and, crucially, results that contradict whatever theory is trying to be proven deserves to be called a genuine Science. A theory that will not allow falsification, or subsumes each contrary result into the theory, is merely a pseudoscience. That'd be the difference between the theory of Relativity and Freudianism, for example. Einstein's theory could have been wrong - it just needed verification or otherwise. Freud's theories of psychoanlaysis, when presented with examples of behaviour which do not fit into the patterns he predicted govern our minds, simply say that they do, but the patients who exhibit these behavious havent noticed (or whatever). It's a bit like, oh i dont know, Religion then.

it's been 12 years since I read him so forgive that pretty threadbare explanation. Mind you, it's been even more since I listened to The Orb. I'd better go away and do both. Hope this helps though.

I never studied philosophy or science and don't think the way you've come accross. I guess when you listen to a language long enough you'll eventually speak it.

Would I be right in saying though that like anything else there will always be people in life that although intelligent ,abuse that fact and create themselves a space that doesn't necessarily need to be.

By the way ,I in no way consider any philosipher to be inferior to me ,or anyone else for that matter.

i dont really understand you either. Here's what I said more concisely:

A real Science admits the possibility of being wrong
    A Pseudoscience doesn't.
