well you would have had to pay for a taxi back anyway, so, if you think about it, you've saved yourself some cash!;)

I know how you feel. A few years back, I was refused into the noggin-bin because I forgot my Id. As I argued with the bouncer, there were 3rd Years from my road walking in saying hello to me!! I was 20 at the time!!

It was super embarrassing as I was with my then girlfriend at the time, and she was getting in.

Just keep the few bob until tomorrw (or better still, the cheltenham festival next week ;)

    I am 24 but I look younger.
I ALWAYS get asked for ID, and I have been turned away a few times for not having any, so its not just guys who get refused, and I agree, it is very fupping annoying.

it wouldnt be half as bad if bouncers wernt dog ignorant bastards!

time to get a garda id again always forget to bring my passport

That sucks :( If it's a problem maybe you should order a Garda ID, and just throw it in your wallet in case. Or else photocopy your drivers licence and/or passport, and keep them in your wallet in case. Although it would suck if someone robbed your wallet :p

On principle, I refuse to set foot in Bondi. Far too many knobends and 16 year olds.
My little bro is banned from there... he kicked the crap out of some D4head who was trying it on with his then-GF.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 144 ✭✭Liffeyman

Main reason bouncers ask for ID is to see where your living then they make an educated (well you know wot i mean) decision if you get in. plus your 21 get a life what the fcuk are you heading into that kip for

And the funny thing is, you'll probably forget it again....I guess the notion of bringing it with you all the time just slipped right by you.

21, going to bondi "because you heard there was a pool there" and taking a pill(because there was a pool there?)

It must really suck to live in dublin, Being going out since i was 15 and i rarely get asked for id when i do i just argue with the bouncer and at the end of the day i hardly ever get turned down.

Doesnt that just piss you off more???

Seriously though that sucks, The moral of this story.....Buy a garda id there only a fiver.

That's 'cos you probably live in some shítty town with fúck all in it, and anything that is in it, well, you know somebody there. In fact, everybody knows everyone else but everyone chooses to ignore this for the sake of gettin' a ride. Henceforth we have the "culchie" or "redneck" situation, whereby people who are actually related are doing each other.

You're cool. It does suck to live in Dublin... when you a) look underage and don't have ID. Cop on and get ID. b) are píssed or c) look like a scumbag.

If you are of the proper age to get into a place you won't be refused. If you look too young then I'm fairly sure you're aware of that fact. Carry your ID.

I think I'm gonna post in PI soon. I'm becoming very upset.

Bouncers can refuse you on a Garda ID too, its for purchasing alcohol, not entering licensed premises.

How come the OP didnt just get his ID and go back to town? Wasnt late at all when he posted.

I've never quite grasped the motion of why someone would drop a pill at a place like Bondi  I mean the music is ****e and the majority of people will think your an absoloute wierdo pulling mad faces the whole night even if they do know what your on they will probably think your a complete scumbag.

Whereas dropping a pill of unknown origin containing unknown ingredients is a perfectly graspable notion at certain other venues

on that note, anyone remember the Waterfront?

I wish I had been refused into the place I went last night.... Why does going to a club always seem like a good idea whilst slightly drunk. It was a good night, but the money spent was not right :(

Meh Bondi is great on a Wed night when you are in the Lepp Inn for a few pints and you have the urge for late drink :)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,252 ✭✭✭Funkstard

I was there last night too, and there was a strange variety of ages there. On the one hand it was mostly 5th years, then there were people I saw there who are in 2nd year of college.

It's always going to be young on a Friday night, but there always a group of decently aged people there doing their own thing.

And to a poster a few posts up, it was €3.50 a drink, how is that bad? That's fecking great!

I had a great night anyway
