Is it true that i can't use a firewire cable with my new 60gb video iPod? i just got it the other day and i have been using the horrible USB cable that comes with it and since i don't have 2.0 its even worse! Is there no way i'm able to use my firewire cable from my old POd?

    Cheers,
    Bubba

Ouch.AFAIK (And I could be wrong) - you can charge but not synch & as it's down to the iPOD... no feasible way around it.
It's a matter of upgrade or die. A USB2.0 controller should be cheap enough (~30 euro for PCMCIA; PCI is undoubtedly cheaper..)

Also, FYI: There's a Portable Media Player forum for any future questions

less space = less room for additional stuff + it's easier all-round for them to support one standard... *shrug and boggle*
