To book or not to book?

    Hi there,

I'm currently in the process of arranging a holiday in Italy. I still haven't booked my flights though and this is my question.

I want to fly only Aer Lingus (for reasons I won't get into) to any one of their Italian destinations, Milan, Venice, Rome or Bologna, doesn't really matter. The flight prices aren't bad at the minute but aren't fantastic either. Should I book the flights now or wait for the usual summer sale? My travel dates are flexible but are roughly from late June to late July.

I'm tempted to wait but with the possible Aer Lingus management change looming I'm undecided. Maybe there'll be no sale and the flight prices will go up.

It's a toughie, much too tough for me. Why not let the good people of boards.ie decide for me.

In my experience over the last few years the prices on aer lingus.com just get higher and higher the longer you leave it especially for the summer flights...I'd book now.

I would agree. Prices are not falling at all on aerlingus.com .

I would be bit worried about Aer Lingus as nearly got caught 2 years ago with a strike then. Does anyone else find their time keeping gone to pot altogether? Finding Ryanair much more reliable believe it or not!
