    OK,

So you order your chipper, eat half and bang the rest in the microwave\fridge overnight for brekkie (ok, you may not, but sometimes I do!)

Of course the food is shirvelld up and dry, so my question is.........

The moisture that has gone, is is oil or water?

Unless oil has magically developed the ability to evaporate at room temperature, I'd say it's water :)

Simmer them gently in lightly salted water for about 3 hours. :v

Nah, I don't really think there is much you could try. Maybe sprinkle them with some water and pop them in a hot oven? I don't think it would work satisfactorily though.
