Just gotta say Im amazed Fiery Furnaces are here. I only discovered this gig because of making that list. Should be a good gig.

Also Im quite upset that Architecture clash with Final Fantasy. If only because it will probably take people away from Final Fantasy. Sorry Ive made my choice. :-(

It is shaping up to be an amazing month of May isn't it?

Good call on Dresden Dolls toast - saw them at Glasto last year and they were brilliant!!!! And a lot funnier than I was expecting.

The Broken Social Scene gig at Temple Bar Music Centre was one of the best I've been to in ages, (maybe since Arcade Fire at the Picnic) so can't wait to see them again. (and again and again and again...)

If the Okkervil River gig is half as good as good as their last couple of albums it will be a must for any music fan. Hopefully they'll be selling CD's - they still don't have an Irish record deal. (???!) This band is one of the most underrated bands I know of.

Ouch, clashes with Final Fantasy, well I have my tickets for him and I seen Architecture in Helsinki last time so I'm mostly pleased, no doubt they'll both be great gigs!

I'm really looking forward to The Fiery Furnaces, they completely obliterated Franz Ferdinand when they supported them in the Ambassador two years ago. Albums are fantastic too. Definetly recommend you check them out in some shape or form.

For the rest of the month there's Low, The Dresden Dolls, Brian Jonestown, Presidents, Lightning Bolt and Alice Cooper. And the fun will continue into June...

I have to decide between this lot and Final Fantasy... hmm...

Saw AIH in Temple Bar Music Centre last time they came here, blinder of a gig!

Have to go see Broken Social Scene as I missed them the last time they were here and I think a trip to BJM will be worth it :)

Their 3 albums are up on emusic.com along with a couple of live shows.

Emusic is a completely legit MP3 site that signs deals with a lot of independent labels, you can get 50 free downloads if you sign up for a trial.
