Advice/ Opinions On Some Experiences

Was joking to a mate the other day about things going bump where I work. He then said he has experienced things and so did another colleague.

I work nights alone. Its an old building. Im on the 5th floor. We are currently the only occupiers. The other night I saw a shadow through the crack of the door at the hallway. I walked over and nobody was there. The buzzer rang aswell for to let someone in downstairs (the buzzer is indoors) - nobody there. I was the only person in the building and I had the keys. Ive herd heavy footsteps on the stairs aswell.

There is like hole in the wall used for passing through trays etc. The room joining the work room is always dark. I am not the only preson who sees what appears to be someone walking by. It only catches you eye so is gone in a second. Im not the only person to witness this. There are no windows in the darkned room so ro way of reflection or lights in it.

Any ideas or advice as how to approach this situation - some employees are getting freaked out

Hi Macers,

You seem to be coping well seeing as your the only one in the building. What is it you want to do exactly? Find out what it is? Get rid of it? Contact it?

Well you can't really hang bunches of sage over the doors in the work place like you could in your home (these act as cleansers).

The thing is, with a presence in the work place you don't know if its attached to a person that works there or is attached with the building, or even the site on which its built. Also because theres a few of you your colleagues could be playing tricks, saying they heard or saw something when they didn't to freak you out more, this trickery breeds badness so if there is a spirit there then your more suseptible to it because of what your colleagues have said

Can you tell what they're like? I mean can you get a felling from them? Are they there to scare or are they just there? Can you tell if it was a person? as opposed to a forse? You see if its some sort of bad forse (Would malevolent be ok to use here?) then its probably attached to a person thats working there with you. If it feels like a person then its prob attached to the building.

Ok I'm going around circles here I'll just give you an example.

My sis was working on a run down house in the country-painting and renovating. There was a definte presence in the house I felt it, she felt, many people that visited the house felt it. The presence sometiems showed itself to my sister; A fleeting glance; a flash in the corner of her eye; footsteps; gigiling etc. My sis got awful scared as she was also staying in the house on her own as all the work was being done. She asked a few people their advice and this is what she did;

She had a feeling it was a young blonde girl maybe 8 or nine from a different era to ours. So she bought a paket of sweets...old sweets, cough drops and barley sweets (hard boiled sweet) and stood at the top of the stairs (where most of the sightings were and the strongest presence felt) and said out loud "I know you're here, I'm not here to hurt you, I brought you some sweets" and she placed them on the floor "I'm doing some work here to make the house look nice, I won't be here for long, but I don't want to see you again please" and that was it, the presence lifted she didn't see her again. I don't know what she did with sweets if she left them there or ate them or whatever but I know they didn't disappear or anything mad like that.

So anyway I don't really know what you can or should do in your situation, its not like you can get a priest in bless the office block. But you could ask it not to show itself on your floor anymore, be polite though.

Keep an eye on this thread cause in a few weeks you'll have a good few more replies with more definite suggestions. In the mean time,Do you belive in God?...if you do then pray, pray for protection. If I'm scared I say "Oh most sacred heart of Jesus, I place all my trust in you"..its like a mantra, I say it over and over until I'm not as scared...works for me, thought I'd share it till you get some more concrete advice.

Hi all,

Was given an early shift tonight so out alot earlier than normal. Twice tonight there was 2 loud bangs from the stairs (beside hall door where I saw shadows etc) and one in the room next door which seems to be the centre of activity.

First time was very loud - another member of staff was with me at the time - when it happend we both jumped and looked at each other - we both knew we heard it.

Second time I only heard it. I heard it coming from where the stairs area is but my partner who was already freaked out didnt hear it so I didn't mention it for his nerves sake.

The room where the loudest bang was was looked from the outside - I had the key on a bunch. No way in for out of the room - no windows nothing. The bang was of something getting thrown against the wall (well what it sounded like anyway) - didn't go into the room cause nerves were shot.

I didn't go in tonight looking or listening for things - these things just noticably happended...

That sounds awful, I'd be freaked. Visualise a white light barrier surrounding you, this sounds daft but so does things going bumb in the night! Take a few minutes before you go into work to protect yourself...Breathe in and as you inhale picture you're breahing in white light, with each breath picture your aura(the coloured light thats like a forse field that surrounds everyone) inflating with white light. Then ask all that is good to protect you.

Is there air vents where you heard the bangs? If there is they bang with gusts of wind, it could be just that.

Its interesting reading all your posts and sounds like a few are experiencing some strange activities.

I am posting here to share my own experiences. We where told that there where entities present in our house and my sister was affected by them mostly. We have had people visit us to try and explain what they believe was happening.

One man that has been to our house said that alot of negitive energies where present and was because of underground streams deep beneath the house. He brought a crystal with him that was attached to a chain and told us he was 'water divining'.

He has been to visit our home on 3 seperate occasions and is satisfied that any negitive energies are gone. It all sounded a bit far fetched to me at first but I done a bit of research myself and found some interesting articles on it.

I briefly studied Indian Head massage and part of the course teaches us that channels course through our bodies carrying chi or energy, these channels are also found (altough not visually) in the earth, the chinese build according to these energy chanels and even decorate their homes according to where the channels are...this is known as feng shui.

The man that came to visit your house, did he use a crystal on the end of a chain, like a pendelum? A pendelum can be used to determine where the energy lines (I think the channels are called meridians) lie and where it would be suitable to hang a mirror or place a plant to help keep the energy flowing correctly.

Did he do anything to move the negative enrgy?

Ok - I contacted some people who deal with spirits etc and they came with me to the building. They discovered via readings etc that the spirit is of an old man however his family still have a presence there. He is supposidly addicted to alcohol. The foot steps are him and the bangs in the room are from his old sitting room.

They said he is not there to harm us but to let us know that he is there. The room which I work is - what they recon - an old passage through to another room...

I was instructed to put a mirror up where an old door used to be so provide a passage(?)...

On googling the building I discovered the history of it - they seem to be fairly accurate with what they said about the history etc...
