I'd love to, a friend of mine is always at me to go over with him. And he was saying that there's savage Poker games on over there, on the way; every night; etc. loads of money and really soft games by the sounds of it. Anyone ever go over for these. Are they easy to get into or do you have to know someone to get in??

Nah, I'm not a great fan of the horse racing. I'm sure you'll get a few who are though. Do you get any free bets?

No, no free bets, not a huge racing fan either but the poker action sounds great.

Congrats on the win. IMO Cheltenham Gold Cup day is the premier sporting event of the year. A magnificent prize. On the poker front, unless things have changed in the last 2 years (since I was there last) most games are draw not TH and while they may be soft, you need a huge bankroll because there are a lot of fearless gamblers who will stick it in with anything. My advice would be to enjoy the day, back War Of Attrition in the Gold Cup and get pissed at the sponsors expense. Play poker when you come home and recover. Well done again.

I'm heading over on Monday - back Friday.

There is a €600 game (Holdem) on Wed night in the Chelt Rugby club. I reckon any games there during the week would have a fairly hefty take for the house.

I was there two years ago and we were heading to the Queens to see what the poker action was like. Owner of the restaurant we were in, said no point sitting down with less than 10K. When we got there the place was full and no more were being left in

If you're going Oscar, give me a shout (you should have my mobile no) and we meet for a pint (or some of that free champagne :D )

just copped it was excluding champagne. pints so.
