As the title suggests i need to find a programme that converts my AVI files into one's that are suitable to be played on my iPod video!

Anyone know of any free programmes that allow this to be done?

    Cheers

    Freeware
MeGUI will but its quite complicated to get setup
    Staxrip
    Videora

    Payware
Nero latest version has iPod profiles
    CloneDVD Mobile

    Semi-free
ATI Avivo convertor - requires ATI 1K series graphics card (though the quality was awful last time I tried it a newer version is out now)

PSP video 9 is a good converter, except it's selectable resolution outputs may not suit the resolution of the iPod's screen (I'm not sure of it's pixel count)...but it's quick, has a great UI and has good output results.

[edit] yeah it will output in 320*240.
