The poker channel on CNBC and World speed Championship

Hey guys,

Whats the story with the poker channel appearing on CNBC after midnight?

I was looking for my Asian market update and theres the World speed game on with Ram and Do'D on Tuesday night around 2 am. Are the various heats on every night? because I'd love to see Ollieboy's romp to victory and if someone could confirm when its on 'twould be great.

P.S.

They were showing table 1 of an internet freeroll last night around midnight which was absolutely hilarious. This guy folds his BB with 250 left behind (blinds 700/1500) after a min raise from MP (he has AK) in order to try and limp into the money on the bubble. What did 10th place get? Was it a flat prize structure I hear you ask???? No. 10th got $5 and1st got $150 and a ticket to a WPT qualifier LMAO!!!

P.P.S.
The raiser got called by an utg limper and rivered a king high straight with his Q9. The fold was genius and I hope lots of people learned from it!!! The guy actually came 7th to be fair and won $15! ;p

Yeah i saw that. Having the poker channel on cnbc is a bit of a bonus I think considering I don't really give a shít about the markets.

I have the basic NTL and don't get any poker except Citywest and that "celebrities" thing (poker? ) that was on UTV a few months ago.

It starts at 1am tonight. Perfect for those cruising in a late night mutli I guess but they don't say what programs they are showing on their schedule.

If PPP-Pit Boss had any info on the showing time for the WSP in particular (i.e is it shown between 1am and 5 am) I'd be grateful and I'm sure would a lot of the less fortunate Ntl basic tv customers on boards would be too.
I can't get a listing for the poker channel due to fire wall restrictions so if anyone felt like looking this up and pasting I'd be grateful.


On second thoughts I'll probably just record whatever is going on and that way I can skip to anything good!!

Yeah I have been deeply saddened by the fact that I've managed to turn off online poker at about 1:30am and then sat in front of the TV watching that online poker show from Pokerheaven.com which is an online sit n go with all the cards face up and 2 commentators.

I dont think PPP boss or the Poker Channel have anything to do with this, I know the poker channel sell the programmes to the American stations, so I guess this is what happen here, it doesn't seem to be listed anywhere, but I think its on over the next few weeks.

Cheers Ollie. I'll keep an eye out! Now that you mention it the ads are CNBC ads and the poker channel stuff is spliced in occasionally so content selling looks like the answer.

I need to catch a few tells for when we have that home tournie you were talking about!!

Havent had it it in around a year but loads of late night poker and a bit of barcelona heads up is all they had then - Home and Leisure and Bravo afaik

NTL digital has sod all at the moment I'm afraid, and Late Night Poker is almost never seen on Home & Leisure anymore (renamed Discovery Real Time).
