Ok , I wont go into specifics but basically my beloved 40 gig ipod iphoto of a under a year isnt working. After a bicycle crash It wont turn on at all apart from when its plugged into its firewire cable It wont even come to life when its plugged into the comp via USB. ok I guess that is specifc.
So basically where/to whom can I go to get this fixed? It was bought in america and I can find any documentation/reciepts for it so Im guessing Its not in warranty ,so Is there anywhere that will get this fixed for me quickly?.

Apple an Mactivate.ie are the only two that I know of (it'll cost..)
I doubt that it'd be covered under warranty even with doc's:)

    Haven't a clue.
Try contacting the above for a (very) rough idea.

I would contact apple. Did you pay by credit card. They are meant to be very good about warranty, and it is worldwide warranty. If there is no real cosmetic damage they might fix it.

Broken ipods fetch a fair price so bear that in mind before getting it repaired. And do consider other players!

This is my current train of thought actually. A friend that I know also broke his ipod, he got in contact with apple and they basically sent him out a new one no questions asked , and he cited two more people who also just got their ipod replaced. Its just a matter of finding the support number on apples feckin site now
