Just wondering if any of the rest of ye have noticed this or is it just me ... not naming names but there seems to be groups of posters that seem to follow each other around to thread's & take them over.... it's starting to make posting here kind of boring cause if you're not in a clique you don't get as much interaction .....

Or am I just imagining things :confused::confused:

I read the title and it took a couple of seconds to cop that broaders mightn't actually be a word :D Yeah, packs seem to be prevelant.

People here hang out together just like in real life. Seems this is mostly in AH?

You may want to correct your title before the spelling police gets here. Oops, too late. :)

Oh couldn't do that, that wouldn't be nice & I'd never get in with the 'In' crowd then :p

Maybe not but you could get in with the "out" crowd.

Aww, I was only smiling at the situation. :(

And you should name names, the 'in' crowd around here sucks anyway, lets be honest! ;)

I'm a lone soldier babe, and don't you forget it. How's about a lovely lady like yourself sidle on up over here and maybe we'll form a little clique of ourselves? ;)

Sleazebag, i'm all for cliques, who else are you supposed to share your inner resentments with?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,440 ✭✭✭✭Piste

Yeah I'v noticed that you sometimes get a group of posters that take over a thread with their incessant flirting and bitching at eachother (and if you frequent AH or ever visit the thunderdome you'll know who I'm reffering to)

But yes, Boards is like real life in that some people will just naturally gravitate towards eachother. Also because some boardsers have met eachother IRL or are friends IRL they'll stick with them.

I, being Piste's wife, tend to stick by Piste and agree with Piste's points.
    Means I get some.

If people post in similar threads it would indicate those people have similar interests, not that they are a gang. Wouldn't it?

You mean you haven't noticed the patting of each others back in threads by all the same people???

The first rule about the clique is, there is no clique.

Whilst it might seem like some strategic effort to bring AfterHours to its knees, the thing you don't understand RavenHead is that this 'clique' of superfriends is actually a swingers network using boards.ie as a conduit to send secret messages to each other.

All their posts (whilst seemingly just an endless deluge of inane babble) is actually highly sophisticated coded converation featuring topics such as fantasy, past experiences and sexual solicitation.

I can't really go into the intricacies of the cypher (for one thing the explaination is far too long winded and for another I don't really fully understand it yet myself) but needless to say from my studies of it when you see emoticons such as :p  and  they aren't at all what you may thing they mean.

As for , well you don't even want to know what that involves!

In all honesty I dont think any of the cliques are involved in that , most of them are just living out their life on the net where no-one knows them:D
