remove credit card from payment methods on xboxlive

    Hi signed up 3 months xbox live gold today but i want to remove my credit card details from my account on the xbox for several reasons security etc but mainly because i dont want it to automatically renew tried to do it earlier without success , can anyone point out what is probably something very obvious to get around this????

    it automatically renews all the time. you can stop it when it comes to the end of your 3 months i think.

    as far as I remember I recieved notification of the renewal date a week or so in advance. Easy enough to cancel then, having said that as I was away and only got back on the day of renewal it debited my card for a 12 month renewal. Even then though it was a simple phone call and within a week they credited my cc with the full amount. Nothing to worry about really, just don't go on playing for weeks after it's renewed and still expect your money back ;)
