According to the trailer its out this summer, which Im presuming means its out in America during the summer. So I expect we'll see it sometime in the autumn

(if it gets released here, of course)

I will get released here. I've been practising voodoo on the distibution head of warner bros. He gets a severe migraine everytime he feels the disinclination to release this in Europe. And I've been up nights with cat's blood, clay from glasnevin cemetary, and a matrix-style trenchcoat-wearer's bodily fluids (closest I could get to Keanu Reeves) in an attempt to get a simulataneous release here. My attempts to get the world premier in the Savoy got a bit too messy...

Really looking forward to this film, strong cast and director, plus the animation looks pretty slick and based on a cracking novel. I have watched the first 24 minutes (have been released for public viewing @ http://uk.media.filmforce.ign.com/media/670/670907/vid_1577113.html) and I can't wait to see the rest.

IMDB lists the 18th August as the UK release date so I guess it will be out in Ireland on Friday the 17th?

Final scene in the first 24 minutes is hilarious, Robert Downey Jr. is perfect for the role ;)

Yipes, I didn't know this was already showing. Gotta see it.
EDIT: Whoops, I should pay better attention to the dates. I blame the hangover.

    Great film, the
thought bubble sequences in the first half and the bike scene
put a smile on my face that lasted the rest of the film. Very enjoyable, easily worth the admission fee.

seems to be positive all round for this film. been looking forward to it for aaaaaaaaages. basically since it was announced (i recall hearing about it a few months after the matrix revolutions) :D

ive been waiting a year for this, put a smile on my face when the start was exactly like the book, im not sure what i thought of the film, has to sink in more i bet, decent, 6/10, not impressed.

Went to see this today. Brilliant stuff! Translated the book almost perfectly I thought and looked absolutly amazing.

Certin things, it has to be said, worked better in the written form, but that was always going to be the way. The trippy visual style makes up for most of these short comings.

A solid four out of five.. loosing a point mainly due to Keanu Reeves who, while tolerable, is still Keanu Reeves at the end of the day.
