It's a Les Paul Studio Vintage Mahogany. They're a Musiciansfriend exclusive in the US. http://www.musiciansfriend.com/product/Guitar/Electric?sku=517536

I don't think so. If I remember correctly Studios come with 490R and 498T humbuckers. They're nice pickups, though they didn't have enough bite for my tastes

is there anywhere i can get a sample of them?

There are a few clips of dubious quality here

    http://www.gibson.com/Products/Accessories/Gear/Pickups/Modern%20Classics/

You might be able to find some more natural and 'realistic' clips on any of the bigger guitar forums like Harmony Central or thegearpage.net .

I have been running lurchers most of my life, i have recently bought a colliegreyhoundwippet as a pup, he is now 13 months old, jumping and catching rabbits in daylight, catching on lamp, but, i cant get him to retrieve.
I have tried everything i know and have learnt over the years of having hunting lurchers, i have a Bullgreyhound that retrieves to hand but i cannot get this pup to.
Could anyone offer any advice as i really dont want to get rid of the pup because he is so confident in everything else, and i dont do alot of ferriting these days to keep hold of him, i like my dogs for hunting and have taken a shine to this one. So if anyone has any suggestions i would be gratefull.thanks. HAPPY HUNTING
