    i have a problem with my ipod, i plugged it into the computer and i tunes came up and all my songs are coming up under my ipod but when i take my ipod out theres nothing on my ipod. the songs are not still in my libary on itunes. i cant seem to get them to show up on my ipod and when i put update ipod its not doing anything????

    can anyone help???? :confused:

    It's very important that you click on the "Safely Remove Hardware" icon (looks like a grey square with an arrow pointing to the left), and select your IPod and click the Stop button. Unless you do that, whatever is written to the iPod is not flushed to the disk, so you don't see any updates.

    You can optimise it so that you dont need to click the safely remove hardware each time. I did it for an external HD. I think it was under disk management. Its handier that way.

    Nice tip. I'll be checking that tonight. I transfer a lot of stuff to my psp.
