    How do i block pop up's.....i googled and there loads of websites offering free blockers, should i go with one of them??

    While Firefox & Adblock works fantastically....if you don't want to install firefox for some unknown reason (???) you could install the Google Pop-up blocker http://toolbar.google.com

    Also some anti-spyware will come with pop-up blockers (however most of them only work in Internet Explorer). Spyware Doctor is one that I know of that has a pop-up blocker

    www.opera.com is another alternative to Idiot Exploiter.

    Also you can block the sites where lots of popups come from with
    John's No-ADS proxy auto configuration script
    http://www.schooner.com/~loverso/no-ads/

    This works on any browser that can be told to use a proxy config file.
