Weird site to have a ghost pic. Whats the background on it?

Its too small to make any worthwhile critical review.

In my opinion, faked. Purposly faked. Colours are wrong and it looks like it is a reflexion as opposed to Photoshopery .... nice pic though.

I was looking at some other people's photos on another thread and it reminded me of a photo I took while visiting a temple in Hangzhou, China. This temple is very famous in China because it was the home of a famous monk known as the 'Mad Monk' because he had stange ideas and he used to secretly go to the caves to cook dog meat (which was forbidden as you know monks are vegetarian). Anyway I took this photo in one of the caves where there are loads of stone carvings of buddah. When I uploaded the photos when I got back I found this photo had a wierd white blob just beside one of the buddah statues head. If you zoom in on it you can see a purple pixelated glow at the top and a greenish glow at the bottom. There are also 3 other smaller more transparent glows directly under it.

If you want to inspect it in larger format - PM me.

Actually China (and asia, especially some parts of malaysia) are a treasure trove for the paranormal enthusiast.
I noticed this photo posted in the ghost hunting thread.

Funny how what immediately jumped out at me, isn't what everyone else spotted -

If you want, I'll come and over and protect you from those nasty ghosties? ;)

Seriously though, I think the picture is faked... I took one look at it and didn't get anything from it, though that said, I looked at it and thought it was either some reflection, or just something pretty well-placed. I also noted that the person didn't have a very ethereal quality to them.

Edit: Some elaboration on my part. The part of the person's body from the bottom of the neck down looks solid.

I wouldn't mind seeing the page that that is attached to...

Very difficult to see and with what looks like the photographer moving at speed there is a lot of blurring

    I see.............more branches and leafs.

I see a little bald man half smiling but with a bit of a menacing look about him.
    Is that what you see?
    Where was the pic taken?

I've had good look as i drank my manky lemon tea, and I can't make anything out of the ordinary out, littlebug can you really make that out?
where abouts is it , direcly below the broken branch where it looks kind of "purple"? is that what you see too Kshiels

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 4,832 ✭✭✭littlebug

Yeah I can see a wee small face poking out from behind the tree, clear as day, just under the broken branch. Maybe that's not what kshiels sees though. I've just tried to attach the pic with an arrow showing where I see it but it's taking to long (dial up).

Ok looking at this its not too difficult to see things if you want too. Personally I dont see anything that jumps out at me.

Below is the original (top left), a negative (top right), a highlighted section (bottom left) and one where i picked out somethign I saw - like seeing a bunny in a cloud ;) (bottom right).

    attachment.jpeg

The negative shows that the colour in the area (green when negative) is actually very common in the picture. Its just more concentrated below the broken branch. The purpleish colour (in the original) stands out and draws the viewer in.

The highlighted section actually shows there is little detail in the area where 'something' is seen.

When you look at the area I hightlight in the bottom right and then look at the original you can (well to me) see what looks like an 'evil' face ... its just me picking out a pattern, very easy to do but that doesnt mean its a ghost.

    kshiel, 2 questions:

    What do you see?

Did you post this picture a good while back?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 994 ✭✭✭kshiel

No didn't post this picture before, and I saw the man (wouldn't have said evil though) where you have it hightlighted in pic three. I did put it down to a trick of the light and because of the photo being blurred a lot. I agree with you when you said that you can pick out what you want to see in a photo, especially those of us who would not be photogragh aware. I wasn't moving when I took the photo, but my hand must have shook or something to have it blurred like that. This photo would have been took in a wood area where I live, and some may remember me stating a long while ago about a solider I saw there. So with the trick of light and of course me looking for a soilder I guess I created one. this is why I found the photo interesting.
