I park on a hill and lately when i start the engine up first thing the oil level is down and the spanner lights up on the dash.
But as soon as i warm it up and turn it off and on again it's ok.
Is this the cold weather effecting the oil or should i top it up.
    1.9 Diesel 7000KM 05 model
I don't want to over fill it.

You have to check the oil level when the car is parked on a flat level surface, the engine should also be warm and the car should sit for about 5 minutes in order to allow the oil to drain down to the sump.

The spanner might just mean that the car needs a service, the oil level is probably a different light. :)
