Since this seems to be the theme of today, here is a hand I played earlier. Villain is loose bad and over aggressive, but not completly stupid. We are 4 handed, me and villain have 1k. 36nl

I make it 30 to go utg with 56o. He makes it 60 from the BB. I call. The flop is 889, 2 hearts. He bets 75 I call. Turn 5s, he bets 100 I call. River 2s he bets 200 I call.

river bet looks like he has A high (maybe AK hearts).
desperate attempt to buy the pot.
on that board he would slow down with QQ, KK, and if he thinks u have a missed draw, he should give u a chance to bluff at it.
Cant see any hand that beats u that he would play like that.
Either way, if u call the turn, u have to call the river.

why can he not play AA like that ?
    Or KK for that matter
Or even QQ (since he IS over aggro)

and if he thinks u have a missed draw, he should give u a chance to bluff at it.

Thats good thinking, but I doubt he would even consider that.

i think with QQ or KK he bets more on the flop.
75 into a pot of 120 with QQ on that board would be a poor bet, as its letting u draw, and u could have JT, Ax hearts etc.
With QQ and KK , especially if he is aggro, he should bet at least pot on this flop.
The increased bet on the river is a sign of desperation in my opinion, there are too many draws out there for him to be sure u have a made hand, and hes trying to buy it.

AK hearts is my fav, followed by 2 other big hearts, followed by AA, followed by JT suited, then 89 suited, and if thats what he had, he played it well, doubt it though.

I don't like the call on the flop, but I do expect a lot of players to shut down on the turn a lot of the time here with an overpair. Do you call if the river is the 2h and he bets 200?

with u having flat called him twice, he would hate the river heart if he had a big pair, and would not lead 200 at it, i would be less inclined to call if the river was a heart, as it would look more like a value bet all of a sudden.

I am calling the river 100% of the time assuming no card higher than a ten appears. I think there is a very little chance he has a flush draw. I was planning on raising the turn but the 5 changed my plan.

Villain had A2 and my hand was good.

    This is one that didnt go so well;

I get A7diamonds on the button. Utg limps, I call. The flop is 89J two diamonds. He bets 30 I call. Turn blank he bets 75. Im pretty sure know he has an overpair. I raise him 150 more; he goes all in instantly. He has KK.

I consider this hand a failure (allthough the river was as a diamond) I misjudged the player, I thought he could fold 1 pair there.

    Which hand happened first?

If this one happened first - then I hate your preflop play, and your flop play. (in the 56o hand)

Im also not too mad on playing 56o against a guy who can fire 3 solid barrels on a pure bluff.

They were on different tables, different opponents.

Preflop raise is mandatory, its 4 handed and the biggest fish with a 200bb+ stack is in the BB. Then its 30 more to me, I cant really fold here. He wasnt reraising me regularly.

Would you just fold the flop? I dont like raising the flop here because this guy may well decide to reraise me with AK getting me to fold a pair, but if I flat call and raise the turn it looks more like a monster.

Good line planning to bluff the turn - obviously the 5 changed your mind, and made you believe you had the best hand.

    Seems fine. Risky but fine.

If this was the same villain who called with KK, then this is bad bad play - and you should be scolded.

Course it could all be FPS ;)
