1percentpledge Update

    Well, we settled on a name.... 1percentpledge. (RoryC will get a book!)

    Just to keep you guys up to date. I have'nt been able to get a sponsor for the start up cost so Im going to use the monies raised as signing bonuses on vegasbabypoker.com that was raised by boardsters. This is not money that was donated directly but comes from vbp as you guys nominated me for the bonus. If anyone has a problem with this they can pm me here to discuss.

    A few quick items:

    1. A website is being designed and sorted out as we spaeak (Thx to an unnamed boardster that will be hosted on antesup.com servers thx Mike and Tom)

    2. A large poker site is in the process of organising a regular weekly rebuy game that will have a larger than normal reg that will go to 1percentpledge

    3. We will be announcing a large international tournament (starting in Dublin) where funds will be raised for 2 poker charities including 1PP. This will be formally announced in the next couple of weeks. This will be a very unusual tournament that should be of interest to all boardsters. Say no more......

    hey dave.... although I sounded my agreement on the original post, I never actually followed it up, as I soon went into pretty convincing "poker is a cruel spiteful game and is just not for me buzz".

    but I've recovered my self esteem and have found a new lease of life and would be delighted to donate 1% of what meagre winnings I manage to make.

    I am generally an online STT player, I can't remember if it applies to these.. or was it just MTTs? or even just live?

    Also, if it is online, then what poker sites have you joined up with? and where do I sign up?

    To make this work online it would take a huge amount of IT work that would be prohibitive so at the moment its live. However there are going to be a few ways to help it work a little online.

    1. You will be able to sign up for bonuses to go to 1PP as with www.vegasbabypoker.com where you enter '1percent' as your bonus code and then clear 'x' amount of rake and we get $25

    2. When we have a bank account we will set up a paypal donate button and you can donate that way

    3. Also we will be looking into the possibility of taking donations through netteller

    4. Some sites will run heavy reg tournies with a % of the reg going to 1PP
