    Hi All,

Hope someone can help me out with a suggestion or two. My sister gets married next week and I want to get 4 or 5 bottles of champagne for the wedding morning. So I am looking for a champagne that I can buy in Dublin that would be suitable and not break the bank. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks all, James

Moet is the usual you see trotted out.

    Veuve Clicquot....

...then again, I've no idea what that'd cost you in Dublin.

Why don't you consider getting a couple of bottles of Freixenet (sparkling wine) for a wedding breakfast? You should always try and remember Champagne is a region, not a monopoly on good fizzies. I for one find Jacob's Creek sparkling Rose very drinkable.

I think the one I like is called Bouchet (or something very close to that). It's very good quality champagne and you can get it in O'Briens for €19.99 a bottle.

It is vintage quality champagne but because it is from a fairly unknown vineyard/area of the Champagne region it is reasonably priced.

    Cristal!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Or if you'd rather something more affordable I've seen some gorgeous bottles of Moet around. You can get diamante encrusted bottles. Also a special edition Matthew Williamson one available.

Limited edition colourful bottles of Pommery also look pretty funky if you're looking for something different.

I don't really drink champagne so these are just cute bottles I've seen.

If you're on a tight budget try Ayala Champage. Produced by Bollinger (which costs between €50 and €55 a bottle) but it's their budget range which costs €29 or so.

    Apparently quite nice...
