I am with Bt broadband and of late my connection is going mad. It use to randomly decide when it would connect regardless or signal strength. Now It has perfect signal and still aint working right. It says its not connected yet it is now letting me on net. Could it be a firewall problem? A virus?

I am using Norton firewall and firefox

Wireless PCI 802.11b/g adapter WN4201B ( my wireless card )

It may be interference. Try going into the router and changing the channel number to +/- 2 of the current value and then +/-4 if it doesn't help.

The report of status from the wireless card is slow and this would explain the reason it tells you that it's not connected and you can still surf.

    Hope this helps...
