There is a special shootout on All In Poker tonight. 100 players maximum. It is a normal MTT but get this payout structure:

1st $10k
2nd $300
3rd $200

Entry is $105 + $9 - Payout based on maximum capacity if not full it is 95% for 1st and 3% 2nd 2% 3rd

Any comments on this top heavy payout structure, is it good or bad?

Note: This is not in tournaments/events section as I think the payout structure merits discussion.

Structure is good if you win, but bad if you don't

I think its to top heavy,you are only doubling your money for 3rd.It will appeal to some but not me.

Normal MTT although it is biled as a shootout. I think they called it a shootout as the winner takes nearly all the cash.

In that case Id play altough Id prefer if it was either winner takes all or 50 30 20 between the top 3

Yea I like the idea of this. Everybodys playing to win so plenty of action. VBP run 10 STT's where winner takes all, only $1 + $2 I think but it seem s to suit me. I'm doing very well in them.
