    Hi there,
I have been playing the bass for many years now, but have never really stepped to much into the effects side of things apart from Overdrive and Equalizers. I am looking at getting either a Basspod Pro with a Channel Controller or a Basspod XT Live. Has anyone any experience with these. I have used the Basspod Pro in studio and liked the sounds it got but never in concert so not sure how good it is for that. And have never played through a Basspod XT Live but they seem very interesting. Finally, does anyone know any good dealers for them? And what price would i expect to pay as i have only viewed online prices which are good but could turn nasty if im stung for tax also.

Any advice is much much appreciated.

Okay, I have the Bass PodXT and I love it. the XT Live is meant for live performance, hence the Live tagged on to the name. they're great little boxes and you can't go wrong with em.
If you want I have a friend in the States who is a dealer and he can give you a decent price on an XTLive, though odds are you will get stung with Customs but when I was working it out it ended up cheaper than ordering from Thomann.

Try buying from www.guitarbargains.com. I bought my (guitar) PodXt Live from them for 406Euro, compared to 499Euro on Thomann. Shipping was 60Euro though but it still worked out 60Euro cheaper than Thomann (499Euro + 20Euro shipping) and it arrived 24 hours after I ordered it. They're bases in Belgium so there's no tax too. All in all it was wonderful buying experience.

Brilliant, i think i will go for it then. guitarbargins looks like the place to go i suppose, €60 cheaper for the Basspod also and i would like it for next weekend if at all possible. Cheers for the replies guys!
