NTL Digital EPG

I have a Sony DVD Recorder with HDD (HXD710) and I cannot use the EPG with my NTL Digital. I heard the NTL decoder box does not work with DVD EPGs and was wondering if anyone else had this problem. Thanks, - RintPete
