Has anyone used them to download/upload, they are totally free and seem good, but You need to d/l their p2p prgoramm, would it be loaded with spyware, that is my worry?

they aren't the only file hosting website.
rapidshare.de are the best imo

yeah but a particular file was available on this one which i wanted, but as i had not heard of it was worried about the possibility of spyware.

come to think of it actually....file factory has two download options. One is p2p but there should be a http option too for the download as well as maybe an ftp one? check for a http download sandals
