just home from the gig. It was very good but the sound was absolutely dire. really, really bad.. as in "the worst sound I've ever witnessed at a gig, including ****ty pub gigs"

I can't believe how ****e it sounded. It was better and Waaaaay louder for the support band.

But still... it was a class gig. They played "Walk" by Pantera.. for anyone who wasn't there.. Also, the intro to Paradise City... which pissed me off cos I was lookin forward to the rest of the song..

There also gonna be supporting G N' R at the RDS, I'm pretty sure...

    Just back from the gig...

Well the first two support bands were ****e, plain and simple. Generic emo rubbish imho with absolutly no redeeming features. Avenged were fantastic however, one of the best live shows I've seen in ages. Their performance was tight, there sound was great even if the guitars could have been louder and Shadows was definitly on form vocals wise. They really got the crowd going too which is always a good thing, even if the pit they made was full of teenagers. :D

    Definitly €25 odd well spent!

The are actually on the Metallica bill (though still not offically confirmed....) that's why I didn't go to this one, so many gigs on in the next few months I decided to save some cash and will see them in the RDS in a couple of months...........did they get a good crowd ???
who were the support bands ???

Ive not really heard any official confirmation of this myself, although I would like it to happen, but what I did hear was that theyre supporting Metallica in Holland and Guns N Roses in Paris so it could go either way
