Ok, I gots me a Logitech Mx 518. I use it in BF2, but since I changed from my old Compaq mouse, It doesnt seem right. I've messd around with the acceleration settings, but still it seems laggy, but not really in windows, just games. Does anyone else have a similar problem with the MX mouse range? And what are people settings for bf2?

Had a problem with buttons, ended up deleting the logitech sw and that seemed to sort it.

I use a Logitech MX510 but I heard bad things about the MX518, lots of pro gamers found it a bit unresponsive and went back to the mx510.

Could be worse, could be the Dell 'Swirly twirly' optical.

Takes fright at tanks and points you at the sky and twirls around in a panic.

Hahahaha, I had the same problem with one of these.
I was in a tank at the time and i went to the outside view, the turret was flying around like 90 and the barrell was going up and down. Hilarious.

I have the MX518, I think its the business.
This is the one that looks like it has bullet holes in it right?

I uninstalled the logitech drivers, it seem better now. Seems like there is less lag, maybe it was bf2, that was making the logitech software run slow.

All this talk of mice convinced my PAckard bell with interchangable covers to die.
    So got a MX518.

Now to see if its any use.

Make sure you use the usb connection and not that stupid ps2 converter. usb mice>ps2 there is less lag. An mx518 is wasted on bf2, your old Compac is good enough for that. play precision CS, CSS, DOD, COD2, UT with your mx518 or it will cry :(

Is the whole thing about these mice the dpi? 1600 etc?

I picked up a microsoft optical 3000 that is a 1600 dpi mouse for 20 eurons in PC world Liffy (was 36 or summit)

    That the same thing?

MX1000 Lazer Mouse ftw ladies :P

Check the drivers are up to date. Download the drivers off the net as some of the older software didnt update/check for updates properly.

Turn off some of the advaced mouse movement thingys in the Logitech options. It has special acceloration settings for games etc. that can occasionally have problems with the microsoft acelloration yolkies.

Ditto.... Few issues getting BF2 to recognise all the buttons at first, but once that's sorted it's a hell of a mouse... Also highly recommend teflon strips for replacement mouse feet, cheap and very effective...
