    hi,

i want to sell a piece of musical equipment on ebay, ive bought loads on it, but this will be my first time ever selling,

my main questions are, A, what is a good site to host pictures that i take of the item

and B, where can i get costs for shipping, its pretty big and weighs 6kgs, any site ive checked, like dhl of ups are charging mad amounts, im basing it on selling to germany, for pig irons sake, yet i see some of these items for sale, and the shipping is only half that

any help would be great, thanks alot

You can upload your pics to ebay. For shipping you can use the calculators on www.anpost.ie - they do priority etc but i'd really recommend bringing the item to the post office and getting them to weigh it and give you the price incase the web one is wrong/your scales aren't as 'accurate' as the post offices..

Always overestimate the shipping. You pay no ebay % fees on the shipping. I prefer to buy stuff from people with high shipping costs since I know they can sell it cheaper because of that fact.

pictures - use photobucket (ebay links are the img link which is supplied on photo bucket.

always use the first eBay photo that is free as this places the camera icon (letting potential buyers and bidders know u have pictures)beside your listing when it is retrived in search.

Have ur photo placed top right

calc - google search, if listing on .co.uk use royalmail website to calc.

    Fees
    *****

Do not overestimate fees as it is against the fee circumvention policy and your listing could be ended and your account suspended/hold etc.

Use ur head and common sense in relation to postage and the best advice is to use the optional insurance of a fiver.
