Yep, the thursday evening run, wilton terrace, last year they had entertainment which was great and the weather was good too, however the run itself was a bit flaky, the Gardai escourted the cars and bikes around town like we needed to be rushed to a diplomatic meeting, so we all got split up, and then they left us at the top of O'Connell Street, so there was 200+ classic cars and bikes left wandering around town, but the entertainment and the show was great.

As mentioned in my alloy post bendan from brady tyres is the pres of the aaai and he was surprised to hear that the run had been cancelled, cost nothing to run according to him,so you never know.

Actually there are some costs involved and they have to apply for a road closure certificate, notify the Gardai and organise the Civil Defence.

I got the impression that someone didn't do ALL of the above and time ran out !

You're right looked like a lot of expense involved, First Aid, road closure, entertainment, toilets, refreshments, Gardai etc.

So any confirmation on the run, cancelled or what. If cancelled, anyone interested in meeting up anyway. I rekon if the pres of the club didn't know it was off there my be a few who just turn up anyway. Just give an iota of an excuse to take the car out and I'll be there.
