Broadworks Broadband

I'm having problems with my Broadworks broadband connection and I was wondering if I am the only one?

It's a cable modem connected to a US Robotics wireless router. Then I've got a US Robotics wireless adapter in the back of my Dell PC.

It works fine sometimes. Then it stops working.

The DHCP is giving me a lease, but sometimes internet names are not resolved by DNS.

So if I ping www.google.ie when I'm having the problem, it can't resolve this to an IP. But I can renew my DHCP lease when I'm having problems.

I've had the same problem with WinXP and Linux Madrivia 10.2.

I rang the Broadworks people numerous times. They say there are no tech people available, but they will call me back. They call me back about 1/10 times, and it's always working when they call me back.

I believe Irish Broadband are their backbone provider.

    Any suggestions appreciated?

    J
