Going away with a group of 9 lads (19-20) in august and just wondering if anyone who has been there has any gud tips about the clubs and pubs there.
Also was wondering if any of you who have been there, did you venture to Magaluf?

I've been on a lads holiday to both santa ponsa and magaluf (consecutive years). With santa ponsa you either love it or tolerate it. I was the latter. Its a good place but it gets a bit head wrecking that every person is from Ireland, wears a celtic jersey and has the mandatory peeked cap. Snoopys is a very good bar for starting the night off, cheap ass drink. You'll probably spend the rest of the night in Greenhills and inferno. While there are about 20 bar/clubs in santa ponsa, when we went (the same time as you) only about 5 of them are busy each night which kind of limits the places you'll drink. Still you should have a good holiday, but just look out for your mates when there drunk, dont let them wander off on their own when there in that state as there are a few dodgy characters around at night. where abouts are you staying accomadation wise, and is this your first lads holiday?

Magaluf is definitley worth getting a taxi to. Don't be put off that the majority of people ther ae british, when we went we got a very friendly reception, maybe eve more so than in santa ponsa. Magaluf has more clubs, pubs and generally bigger and BCM is something most people will go to at least once.

No its not our first lads holiday, was in tenerife last year and had a great time. Most of the people there were british too and we didnt have any problems with them. Dont think you generally will have any problems with them unless you go looking for a fight.

Ye i think we'll probably go to magaluf every second night or so, from what ive heard the clubs there are much better and birds easier!!

Thats a good idea about going to magaluf every second night. Santa ponsa is good but because of its size(or lack of it) it can get a bit stale. Thats pretty much what we did was go to magaluf regularly. The clubs in magaluf are better and it just seems more like a holiday atmosphere, whereas everyone in santa ponsa is from Ireland and gets a bit tedious. The KFC's in magaluf will serve you well for that end of night drunken nosh.
