Ok so, here be the options.

1) Post a selection for every race of the festival with a nap for each day and a snap(copyright me) which is your super nap of the week. Points are award as per SP. bonuses for winning naps.

2) Post a selection for every race and receive the same amount of points regardless of SP

3) 6pts bank at the start of each day to use as you wish

4) €100 for the whole week, biggest profit = winner

Think we'll leave it at that. Vote away.

Is it a WIN selection only, or EW and PLACE allowd?
and can you add an option for 5/6 points per day, but must be used on the day?

Well if we're going to allow place betting the best way to do it would be to add a (P) beside your selction and then if it places at (for simplicity sake) 16-1 we'll give it to ya as a 4-1 winner (if 1/4 odds). How's that sound?

People will see I've voted for #1 which contradicts what I've been saying in the original thread but as I can see #2 won't win, I'd rather have #1 than #3.... just as a way of explanation like!

By the way I hope we're not going to get an influx of 'new' posters voting!

Will votes of people who haven't been seen around these parts before count?

It'll all depend on how we're going to organise the prize structure Bluetonic. I can't see too many newcomers getting involved but we'll certainly look into it.

If everybody who enters has to pay a small fee which goes to towards the prizes then anybody who wants to enter can. I hate to see a load of regulars put up prizes only for somebody who has never posted before come in and win.

What I meant guys is that how are you going to protect against someone rigging the vote to decide on the format of the competition?

Aside from that obviously anyone who wants can enter but you might want to ensure that person is a member for x amount of months or has x amount of posts... multiple entries from people with different logons could ruin it.

for no.2 what do you mean regardless of sp.does that mean if someone has a 14/1 winner and the other person has a 2/1 winner they receive the same amount of points

i think you should put another one up which would be like number 1. but without the nap and the snap things because some people could get lucky with the snap.

Well i'm glad i didn't look @ the results before voting (betcha everyone else did!), i feel one of the main goals is to make profit so it had to be 4 for me, points are undefined, for example i might have 1 nap for the whole meeting & that's where the bulk of my bet goes, anyway just think it's easier to quantify in money terms.
