Using Playstation 2 in the states

    Hey folks I was wondering if you can use your playstation in the states , I took mine there from Ireland, is there an add- on etc that allows me to use american games ,

    well first you need a transformer to actually get the PS2 to work. They should be pretty cheap. If you want to play american games then you will need to chip your PS2 or use some kind of slde card type device. Also PAL games may not display properly on old/cheap American TV sets unless they support 60Hz NTSC, and vice versa.

    Ask on the console mod forum. However you will have to find someone else to chip it since i think it might be against charter regulations.

    depending on how many games you have, shouldnt you just buy an american one over there ?
