Do you believe hypnotherapy works?
do you believe it could stop you smoking or overeating e.g. help you loose weight or ...
even help you diagnose a mental problem e.g repressed memories
have you ever had any experiences with hypnosis?

I have myself I went to see a show in Swords once
it was a great laugh but still not sure if its real or used and a form of entertainment?
    What do you think

Of course hypnotherapy works, its been proven time and time again. The only problem with it is that it invites all kinds of chancers and wannabes. BE CAREFUL

I think the hynotists that you see on stage are just jokers. The professionals though are another matter. I'm off the smokes five months now (after being a smoker for 16 years) I had tried patches, inhalers etc, all the usual crap. Had one single one hour session, and havent touched a cigarette since. I didnt even like the person who done my hour with me, but it worked. As Pighead says, just be careful. i can heartily recommend it, although i wont say who i done it with, as i think a banning could ensue..... PM me if you want the name of the place I used.

it works if you want it to work.
but like the previous posters have said be careful who you go to. Most professional hypnotherapists will meet you for a free consultation before they agree to take you on at all.
It's to allow you to meet them and put you at ease.

you don't want someone like this working with you!

Has anyone actually had it done to them, at a show or a therapist's office, or anything? I've never talked to anyone who's had it done, or heard their account of it...

So I don't know if it's real or not :)
