I got it done and it cost €550.00, as a result of the crown, my nerve got infected so had a bit of a problem, and had to then get a root canal done but it was all done for free because the crown was the reason, i had been warned before that I would eventually have to get it done..

when are you living the dark ages? crowns have cost around the 600-700 mark for ages, my brother got it done 3 years ago 650 my mother got it done last year 700. it cost me 500 to have two wisdom teeth out. no fillings, nothing.

yeap 700 euro is about correct even cheap by some standards....these are professional fees. How much would a laywer charge you for 2-3 hours of time. Crowns also cost laboratory fees. Remember that you can claim you tax back with a Med 2 form.

Dentists who specialise in crown, bridge and implant work are called prosthodontists and charge more than your family dentist.

    Hi

I had root canal treatment and a crown on a next-to-top-front tooth last year and it totalled 1400. I am not sure of the breakdown in costs though (and am now curious!).

I was able to claim back 350 or so (can't remember exactly) from the Med 2 form as mentioned above.
