I got an Acer Aspire 1642 Wlmi whose graphics card is the standard Intel® Graphics Media Accelerator 900 that uses 128Mb of shared memory.
There is no s-video out port but is there another way of connecting to a TV either via a PC Card or some USB device?

Would I able to connect using this cable?

I presume installing s-video internally is out of the question in a laptop even though I see a port for it thats plugged off?

If you had a newer LCD tv you could connect using a normal monitor lead.

There are VGA-scart cables available from certain places e.g maplins never tried them myself but it its only a cable so it's worth a try.

i found lots of these adapters lately but i cant remember where - i think it was ebay - if i remember correctly the device had a pretty unique name so if you find that you could just google it -- i think if you nose around on ebay you'll find a few - i wanted to plug in the laptop to the av receiver - they are out there - not too expensive either i think

.. just found them in my watching items - they're called televiewers

this one's over but you get the picture
