In a similar vein to the thread below asking about wsop gf, any boardsies in tomorrow's open gf?

It's my first gf, and I don't relish having to rebuy - 15 min levels should help with my rock status somewhat. What's the standard like generally, is it mostly satellite winners or are there a lot of buy ins?

I didn't rebuy in it and got to the end, so its not necessary..at 99 per pop its expensive.

So who got the tickets in the end? Gholimoli was cl when I was runner-runner flushed out of there in 31st position. TrueDub was hanging in with several all-ins (we were at the same table most of the night) and DocFarrell had gone out in about 50th. They're the only boardsies I recognised.

I finished 19th, when finally one of my increasingly desperate all-ins was finally cracked.

Didn't realise we were on the same table, corblimey, what's your handle on PPP?

Unfortunately I knocked Gholi out on the bubble [play under Lenco on PPP] and myself and Pokernikus who posts as Pokertroll on here got tickets.

Congrats fatboydim. I was at pokernikus' table towards the end and he was way ahead on the chip count and doing a lot of bullying :)

Nice to get a ticket - Fatboy got very lucky on the final table against Gholi - Fatboy was allin with JQ against his 77 and rivered a Q. This put Gholi on tilt and he ended up making a stand with AJ against Fatboys pocket pair which stood up.

it was fun playing with Len and Mark.
we all play with similar styles.
we were all doing well and Mark was on my table to my right for the last couple of tables .i was chip lead at the time and Mark was second to me i think.
i had about 60K and Mark had 40K and a very interesting hand came up.
    blinds were 1200/2400 i think.
im on BB and its folded to Mark on the SB who completes.
    i have T5o.
    flop : J77
    Mark checks .
    i bet 2400 .
    Mark makes it 8K .
i raise another 10K and Mark folds. I obviously show my hand after wards.:D
but he won and i didnt so he got the last laugh.

Eh, you were still ahead with your 10 high.

Actually this was the right move if you think about it. I was the shortstack on the table with 24k I was soon going to get blinded out and had to make a stand. Most players wouldn't hesitate to call with AK but AK is a coin toss against a small or mid pocket pair... And when Gholi raised so high from EP that's exactly what I put him on. In that situation, and if the read is right of course, JQ was as good as AK.

And of course when you reraised my 8k bet on the Q high flop before that I was very tempted to come over the top with my AJ as I knew you were at it... :-)
But I still remember the way you played aces against me at xmas... you sneaky bugger. :D

Then when I busted Gholi out I was half hoping he'd win that hand against the 8s as I would still have had a 102k left and I was sure between Gholi and yourself you'd eliminate the shortstacks.

I know, sure didn't you play your kings the same way against my queens.

You won the ticket i didn’t. Bragging about this hand is all the compensation i get and you had to go ruin that for me too...(could you not have said you layed down AJ or something to make me feel better. very cruel indeed).

I was watching this hand and thought it was very funny, it was easy to see either player had nothing, because you both know each others game and it was you to who ever had the biggest ......lol.

I couldnt believe Ghol, that you reraise a reraise. Very brave play and a good read.

if he had the 7 we would have flat called.i made the bet to make it looke like a steal with the intension of coming over the top if he raised but not going any further if he just calls.if he called i would have been worried and he would prob have taken the pot.his reraise and the amount in particular made me believe he was at it and and i had the chips to make the play.

Thank God for that, I was afraid you were going to say you were daveincork. He was a genuine plonker - the type that abuses people for calling him, then abuses them more when he wins. He also vocally tried to get someone to check it down to knock me out. While I don't agree with it as a tactic (smacks of collusion), I understand if people do it, but the abuse he handed out was offside.

Does anyone know the answer to this: if you call a manager to a table in PPP, can the rest of the table see this & see the conversation? Last night was one of the few times I've considered reporting someone.

I'm not that predictable - If I had the 7 or the house for that matter, I would have played it exactly the same way.

that was jsut my read Mark.i knew you were aggressive player and had seen you steal a couple of pots that i wasnt involved with with post flop bets.
the pot was about 6K and i figured you were making a pop at it.
also flat calling here is not predictable.i do this alot.
just flat call the raise and see what they do on the turn.if they check or if the size of their bet is small on the turn (basically any sign of weakness) then i come over the top.

If you ping the manager it will come up in a seperate box and the chat is private between you and the manager / host.

    Excellent, thanks for the information.

On reflection I don't think I'd have complained about this guy, as he was just being a plonker, and it was the constant inane chatter that was getting to me. The abuse was relatively minor. I've certainly seen a lot worse.

I turn off the chat window until I'm all-out or a winner (mostly the former). I had it open to type 'gg' when I fluked a straight. That was when I saw that he just seemed to be typing an uninteresting running commentary of his hand, other people's play, etc. I closed it down again soon after.
