I came across this interpolation software at www.benvista.com. I've only tried the trial version which watermarks the finished image. The results seem astonishing though. Based on the evidence of my eyes and of the reviews I've read of it it looks as if you can nget enlargements at sizes way beyond what you could expect to get from the image out of the camera without any apparent loss in quality. Download it and have a look.

By the way I was looking st some stuff on interpolation and I came across this in connenction with the spline method used by PhotoZoom: "Like polynomial interpolation, spline interpolation incurs a smaller error than linear interpolation and the interpolant is smoother. However, the interpolant is easier to evaluate than the high-degree polynomials used in polynomial interpolation. It also does not suffer from Runge's phenomenon". But, hey, I bet you guys knew this already, right?
