Spawn points

Right, here is a question for you - how do you change your spawn point?

Say you pick one flag, spawn there a few times, then it is taken and you have to spawn elsewhere. Then if you get the original flag back how can you change your spawn point?

BF2 only seems to give me an option to change spawn location when it is unavailable i.e. when it is captured by the oposition.

This is really bugging me as I might have to change my spawn point to somewhere way back from the action, and then I am stuck there for the game 'cause I can't change the spawn point.


Please tell me there is some obvious command I am missing!

press return on the keyboard anytime during the game to bring up the spawn screen. I assume you know where to go from there.

isn't it caps lock?

anyway, click on the little white dots at bases to spawn at them. the green one is your squad leader.

Sometimes you have to click the general area of the spawn point to get it.

caps lock is to bring up the command map not the spawn map.

Does anyone know how the spawn point within each of these areas is decided?
I think each area has around 4 or 5 spawn locations.... for example, at a main base, one may be nearer the choppers/jet than others.
Is it just a random spawn?

No i think the game puts with your back to the guy who just shot you.

Feck it. All this time And I have been using caps - it occasionaly give you spawn points to choose so I thought that was the one to go for.
