Playing a short stack out of position

On a final table in a live tournament last week, was short stacked (about 4BB) got K Q off suit under the gun, one minute left in the round, was due to be big blind next hand which would've crippled me judgin by the cards I was getting up till then, pushed hoping to steal (was pretty tight few hands before that, plenty of stealing) got one caller with pocket 7's, he made a set on the turn, I went home in 8th. I was kicking myself later because there weren't many strong players there and I wouldn't normallly play K Q off suit out of position, but I figured, when you've such a short stack, position doesn't come into it, you have to just push whenever you get anything half worth playing. Any thoughts??

Yeah, how did you get down to 4bb?

you should be pushing long before this, I usually push around 9/10 never let it get under 6 push with any two

    this is good advice.
dont let your stack get low.deffo not lower than 5.the lower your stack gets the wider the range people will call you with.
as for the hand in question you didnt do anything wrong.dont be fooled by the relsult other wise you will never know whats wrong and whats right.
you made the move cuz it was the right thing to do based on the situation.
thats all you need to think about.

We had just sat at the final table, there was only eight (two guys got knocked out at the same time), I got spit roasted 10 mins earlier, and as they were paying top nine, I decided to sit and wait till I made the final table, we were only about seven hands into it when I got knocked out, when I was in late positions before that, the pot was raised too far to push when the action got to me. That was my first opportunity to push.

Ah ok, anyway back to your push it was the right thing to do regardless of what cards you held, i'd be pushing there with 72o
