OK lads, here's one I'm actually not sure about.

To begin I'll just give a the background, this was a Satellite tournament with the top 8 getting tickets and 9th getting cash. There's 11 left, 6 on my table and 5 on the other.
I had just been crippled by 2 horrendous beats and was down to ~ 8,600. The blinds had just gone up to 2,400/1,200 and I'm UTG.

The Button in this hand is down to 5,200 and seems intent on folding til the end and hope for a hand in the blinds.
The rest of the players at the table had about 25k, 13k, 5.2k, 36k, 43k (in order after me)

On the other table in the hand before this one the short stack (about 3,200) was UTG and went all in, the whole table folded, including the BB who was Chip leader and had 67k!! (He folded to an 800 bet!!). But he was now in the Blinds too and now has 6.6k.

Now the guy who was the BB (43k) in this hand kept repeatedly saying that he had just qualified for this in another tournament and so wanted the money and was asking that when it got down to 9 just let him lose and take the cash. So effectively if I could squeak into 9th I'm guaranteed a ticket.

OK now back to the hand, I get KJo - What do I do??
    (1) Push and hope to take the blinds, if I'm called I'm probably up against an A or a pair. I don't think the blinds will call with garbage, but I'm not sure.
    (2) Fold and hope either the two other shorties get knocked out before me, or there's a clash with a couple of the medium stacks??

My head hurts thinking about this, if the table seems to be running scared, push looks good.

    Collusion

You should push, you won't get to 8th without commiting your chips at some stage - this is probably your best shot !

Ye I pushed and Lost, just wondering if anyone could have folded. It was just the situation I thought was possibly worthy of a fold, with only 2 to get knocked out and with two shorter stacks in more trouble than me.

What clinched the push for me was the obvious soft playing on the other table I thought it was basically down to me and the button, so I pushed hoping to pull back into the mid stacks.

Ah well never mind. It is just a weakness in my game I'm working on, sometimes around the bubble I'm thinking to myself so much that I don't care about bubbling that I get a little reckless and obviously this wasn't one of them, I prefer pushing with an A or a pair here, but more often than not won't get that.
